MEDICAL EMERGENCY PROTOCOL
CALL 9-1-1
1. If alone, call 9-1-1. If not, tell someone to call 9-1-1 and another person to get the AED & First Aid Kit.

2. Accurately describe the location to the operator:
GN Clubhouse: 1221 Geneva National Avenue South, Lake Geneva
Lodge GN: W4240 Highway 50, Lake Geneva
Grounds: N3381 Petrie Road, Lake Geneva
Hunt Club: 555 Hunt Club Court, Lake Geneva (before the security gate)
3. Assess the situation.
Is the person conscious, breathing? Are there any visible injuries? Do you need to start CPR?

INFORM STAFF
1. If alone, scream/yell or get on the radio.
Make people aware! Call for AED and first aid kit.
2. If you have a radio: USE IT and alert your team.
Message: We have a medical emergency at [LOCATION]. Please send all personnel who know CPR. We need tarps and staff to direct traffic.
3. If you don’t have a radio, phone a team member and have them spread the news.
(You can use your phone between chest compressions if necessary.)
4. Make sure Maintenance is alerted.
This is our most equipped department for emergencies.
5. It’s OK If you don’t know what to do. CALL for someone who does.
There are plenty of emergency-trained staff on property.
6. If the victim's family members are staying on property, have the Front Desk notify them.
SET UP STAFF TO GUIDE EMERGENCY VEHICLES
Geneva National
Post a person at the entrance by the security gate and another at the intersection of the Avenue of Champions and Geneva National Avenue South.
Point police & EMTs to the main entrance or the private member entrance. Gate code 2468#.
Grounds
Post a person at the entrance on Petrie.
Hunt Club Steakhouse
Post a person at the Hunt Club Drive and Geneva National Avenue.
Post another person at the front of the parking lot.
Lodge GN
Post a person at Route 50 and another at the main entrance.
SECURE THE AREA
1. Redirect all guest traffic around the scene.
Ensure safety & protect guests/members from viewing the scene.
2. Set up privacy screens.
Hold up tarps/drop cloths around the scene for the victim’s privacy and to shield guests from trauma.
COLLECT INFORMATION
1. If possible, collect information for the injured party. (We no longer have the injured party complete an incident form.)
2. Take note of all witnessing staff.
3. Take down names and follow up same day for statements on an Incident Form.

4. Submit all paperwork to HR same-day. HR will follow up as needed.
5. Note all emergency responders. (Most likely Town of Geneva Police & Elkhorn Fire Department.) Take down vehicle numbers and names of officers/badge numbers.
6. Take photos of the scene when people are no longer present.
7. Alert IT to collect security footage if available.
RESTORE THE SCENE
1. Alert Housekeeping so that they can properly sanitize.
2. Follow Bloodborne Pathogen cleaning protocols and use PPE as directed.

3. Do not open the area back up to guests until the area is disinfected and thoroughly clean.
