SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Who is Eligible?

  1. Applicants must be about to enter or be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college, university or technical school. 

  2. Applicants must be in at least his/her second year of employment at Geneva National Resort & Club. This employment must include a minimum of 12 weeks of service each golfing season.  

  3. Applicants must have conducted 50% of their employment working for the GN Members. This employment can include Banquet service for Member events, beverage cart service on the Member course, turf management interns or Grounds crew members, Player Services at Member Corner or cart staging/club cleaning/storage/retrieval, or serving/bussing/bartending/hosting in turf smokehouse/Member Tap Room or Hunt Club Steakhouse, etc.

  4. Applicants must meet all qualifications and deadlines for scholarship application, as well as provide a fall 2024 semester course schedule along with credits per course with application. 

  5. Applicants must exemplify excellent work habits, loyalty, and dedication to customer satisfaction and to the work they have performed at Geneva National Resort & Club.

  6. Associates' children, who are not themselves employed at least part-time (see #3) on the Member’s side, are not eligible.

What is the deadline?

Applications must be submitted electronically to Human Resources by Friday, August 16, 2024.

 

What is the application format?

Note that the application includes a personal statement/essay.  Please write your essay and save on your computer, then copy and paste it into the application.  Once you have submitted, please email a photo of yourself to hr@palomaresorts.com to help the Scholarship Committee recognize staffers.  Email hr@palomaresorts.com if you have any questions about the application or experience any technical difficulties.

How are the Recipients Chosen?

A committee of Geneva National Members and a Paloma Geneva National representative will review all applications, and select winning recipients.  Applications are evaluated based on the following criteria: service to the Geneva National Community; active participation in the community where you live, and your personal statement.

When are the Recipients Announced?

Scholarship winners will be announced at our annual Member-Staff Classic on Sunday, August 25, 2023.  You need not be present to secure your scholarship.
